Launching Interfrench,
the Only Franco-American Non-Profit Organization that
Aims to Further Business Ventures, Professional Developments
and Cultural Exchanges

-- Chapters in the Silicon Valley, New York, Los Angeles and Paris.

Mountain View, CA- October 28, 2002-- French-speaking and Francophiles of the San Francisco Bay Area announce today the creation of a non-profit organization called 'InterFrench' with aims of bringing together the best of breed of French and American cultures. The recently founded association aspires to foster cultural and business relationships between the United States and France through its network of local chapters in the Silicon Valley, New York, Los Angeles and Paris.

InterFrench is a multifold organization with three key interest groups:

- Frenchip is the cultural, social and leisure group of InterFrench. It intends to bring together US francophiles who want to share Franco-American cultural values. Frenchip is represented in many cities across the San Francisco Bay Area and is expanding to other Northern California cities.

- SiliconFrench brings French-speaking and francophiles professionals together to foster personal and professional development, and to facilitate new projects through the sharing of knowledge, information and contacts. SiliconFrench develops and enhances a spirit of solidarity, towards professionals seeking career development, entrepreneurship ventures, new business opportunities and best practice sharing.

SiliconFrench's monthly workshop events feature professional speaker presentations on various business subjects. Past workshops have addressed topics such as founding a start-up, creating Web services, developing business relationships, and starting a real estate business. Dates and location of future events are posted at www.siliconfrench.com.

- L'Executive Club gathers French-speaking and francophiles CEOs and executives to discuss current economic and business issues. L'Executive Club's objective is to function like a "think tank" to generate ideas that will inspire the entire business community across the US and Europe.

InterFrench is managed by a team of 60 volunteers led by co-founders Ale Gicqueau in North America, and Pierre-Jean Charra and Jean-Claude Rosichini in Europe.
